# Logos

The Basin mark: five straight, pencil-thin lines with Startup Ventura's dip, flattened at the bottom, the top line in brass. The wordmark is Hanken Grotesk Regular, outlined to paths so no font is needed. In the light files the lines are `ink` (#1b2126) with the top line in `accent` (#b4842a); in the `-reverse` files they are white with the top line in `accent-on-band` (#d9b35c). The `-mono` files are one ink. Choose the file; never recolor one.

Primary lockup
- `vcif-logo-horizontal.svg`: the mark beside the two-line name. Header at 40px, documents, decks. Light surfaces.
- `vcif-logo-horizontal-reverse.svg`: the same for charcoal panels, the footer and the dark theme.
- `vcif-logo-horizontal-mono.svg`, `vcif-logo-horizontal-mono-reverse.svg`: one ink, for black-only print, embossing, engraving and placement over photographs.
- `vcif-logo-horizontal-2400.png`, `vcif-logo-horizontal-reverse-2400.png`: transparent PNG for email signatures, LinkedIn banners and tools that cannot take SVG.

Other lockups
- `vcif-logo-oneline.svg`, `-reverse`: the name on one line, for wide headers and document footers under 44px tall.
- `vcif-logo-stacked.svg`, `-reverse` (and `-1600.png`): the mark above the centered name, for square placements: title slides, event signage, the memorandum cover.
- `vcif-wordmark.svg`, `-reverse`: the name alone, where the mark already appears nearby.

Mark
- `vcif-mark.svg`, `-reverse`, `-mono`, `-mono-reverse` (and `-1024.png`): the five lines alone, 48px wide or larger. The fund's seal on a document, the corner of a slide.
- `vcif-mark-small.svg`, `-small-reverse`: three heavier lines for 16 to 48px, where five thin lines would blur.
- `vcif-favicon.svg` (charcoal square) and `vcif-favicon-light.svg` (white square), with `vcif-favicon-512.png` for the web manifest and Apple touch icon.
- `vcif-avatar.svg`, `vcif-avatar-light.svg`, `vcif-avatar-1024.png`: the mark on a square for LinkedIn, X and other profile images.

Rules
- Clear space: the gap between the mark and the name (about half the wordmark's height) on every side.
- Minimum size: the horizontal lockup 28px tall, the stacked lockup 96px tall, the five-line mark 48px wide, the small mark 16px.
- The lines are drawn at a fixed weight for each file's intended size; do not stretch a small file large or shrink the mark below its minimum.
- Never rotate, outline, shadow or animate the mark, add a gradient, or set the name in another font.
- Never combine the mark with the Startup Ventura wave in one lockup. The partnership is a line of text ("The official investment partner of Startup Ventura") and, where both logos appear, they sit at equal height with `space-6` between them.
